Longtime Commercial Bank VP celebrated
A retirement lunch was held in honor of Ann Dora Garner, who recently retired from Commercial Bank after 43 years of service. Garner had worked at the bank right after graduating from Ariton High School, starting as a bookkeeper and eventually becoming the vice president of operations. During her career, Garner saw significant technological advancements in the banking industry, but still valued the personal touch that the bank provided to its customers. Commercial Bank Chairman of the Board, Charles F. “Charlie” Harper, described Garner as a wonderful person and a great co-worker who will be greatly missed. Commercial Bank of Ozark is the only independent community bank in Dale County and was established in 1959 to meet the financial needs of new construction projects.
