Danske Bank, a Danish financial institution, has announced its partnership with Backbase, a provider of front-end digital banking solutions, to enhance its digital customer experience. Danske Bank will implement the Backbase Engagement Banking platform progressively across its digital channels over the next few years. The platform aims to reduce the number of siloed channel applications and consolidate data, business logic, and workflows. It also aims to provide business agility and facilitate a mobile-first engagement model. Once the implementation is complete, Danske Bank expects to centralize its business operations around customer journeys. The bank’s decision to partner with Backbase aligns with its digital transformation strategy unveiled in June 2023. Backbase is already being used by several financial institutions globally, including First Bank in the US, BRD in Romania, OCB in Vietnam, and Judo Bank in Australia.
