1 min read

A Dutch Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) payment solution called Billink has secured €29.5 million in funding from German bank Varengold. The fintech company plans to use the funding to expand its services to the top 50 web shops in the Benelux region, enter the German market, and enhance its aim of making online buying fairer for consumers and web shops alike. Billink allows shoppers to make payments after they have received their purchases, a feature that has led to 3 million users and over 3,000 web shops offering the service. The company also has a presence in the business market, with 20% of companies registered in the Dutch Chamber of Commerce having made a payment using Billink. Billink aims to compete with other prominent BNPL providers, such as Klarna and Riverty, by becoming the most reliable online payment method and focusing on customer satisfaction and innovation. The funding will enable Billink to serve the Netherlands’ top 50 online shops and expand into Germany. The company is also developing an AI application called Billink Check-out 2.0 to enhance personalization and optimize conversion rates.
