Cedar Capital, led by Sahil Anand, has successfully closed the first round of its Rs 240 crore ($30 million) early-stage fund, attracting interest from leading family offices and institutional investors in India and the Middle East. The fund, structured with a classic LP-GP model, aims to invest in around 15 early-stage BankTech-focused startups in their Seed-Series A rounds, with a focus on backing seasoned entrepreneurs building solutions in the area of BankTech. Leveraging Cedar-IBSi’s global consulting teams, research, and in-house FinTech Lab, the fund aims to add value beyond capital to its portfolio companies.
