Goldman Sachs’ Jim Esposito set to embark on retirement journey.

1 min read

Jim Esposito, co-head of the global banking and markets division at Goldman Sachs, is set to retire from his role. Esposito will become a senior director at the investment bank. His retirement removes a potential contender for the position of president or CEO, signaling that he believes his chances of attaining one of those roles in the near future are slim. Esposito has been with Goldman Sachs for nearly 30 years and played a significant role in merging the firm’s investment banking and trading teams during a reorganization in 2022. Following Esposito’s departure, the global banking and markets team will be led by his co-heads, Dan Dees and Ashok Varadhan.
