Duco acquires Metamaze, empowering intelligent document processing – FinTech Futures.

Duco, a data automation firm, has acquired intelligent document processing start-up Metamaze. Metamaze is a Belgium-based company that operates an AI-powered no-code Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, which automates the extraction of information and data from various document types. The platform aims to eliminate the need for manual data extraction, with a particular focus on serving the banking and insurance industries. The acquisition will see Metamaze’s platform combined with Duco’s own cloud-based SaaS tools to create an AI-powered platform that can process both structured and unstructured data in financial institutions. The acquisition is expected to significantly improve the automation capabilities of these institutions, particularly in areas such as post-trade operations. Duco was acquired by Nordic Capital in 2021 and is headquartered in London.
